"Singles Q & A" with Dr. Kim
Thanks to each of you for sending in your questions and for being a part of our Awesome Marriage Tribe.
Question: This week we had a number of questions that centered on the theme of being single and waiting for God to act.
Dr. Kim: Waiting is not easy for most of us. We get impatient and we feel lonely. We can get so focused on our future and our desire to be married that we miss today. I strongly believe that there is great value in each season of our lives and being single is not an exception.
Being single is a great time to grow closer to God, to nurture friendships, to do things for others, to go on mission trips, to volunteer your time to help others, and to prepare yourself for marriage.
We did a video series with one of our singles Keelee Bright last year. Keelee did a great job of illustrating the value of singleness. Here is the link to that series: http://tinyurl.com/n8svgcu
Also our "30 Day Experiment for Singles" is a great way to take a time-out from dating people and instead date God. It will strengthen your faith and your dependence on Him. Here is that link: http://tinyurl.com/lpcdr4e
See you next Friday.
